Before joining AIBHS, Dr. Katrina Speed trained with some of the biggest names in Behavioral Sleep Medicine including Dr. Michael Nadorff and Dr. Wilfred Pigeon. She is currently an affiliate with the Medical College of Georgia, the Veteran’s Health Administration, and the Center of Excellence for Suicide Prevention (where she has previously collaborated on clinical research surrounding connections between sleep and suicide risk). We are thrilled to have her as part of the team. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Society for Behavioral Sleep Medicine, and the National Register for Health Service Psychologists. Dr. Speed has a passion for treatment of the range of sleep problems with special interest in treatment of nightmares, insomnia and sleep apnea that often co-occur with other physical and psychological wellness challenges.  She also sees clients after traditional business hours. She believes that a holistic approach to health and wellness is important and cannot truly be obtained without adequate sleep. She enjoys opportunities to collaborate with clients toward sleep and wellness goals that can have a lasting impact on their lives.
